wide five discs

Greg: What wide-5 front brake kits do you use? I just installed a CB kit with dropped spindles but have to re-dish my front wheels (running 4.5\" from a 67 VW). I could not locate any wheels with the correct offset. (sorry I have a BECK). Mr Jowdy puchased a complete kit with wheels form you that did not require rewelding of the front wheels but only the back. What gives? Am I missing something. Some other people are using the kit form So-Cal Imports but still have front rim problems. Any advice or suggestions? The dropped spindles give some of the ride back, which is nice. With a full tank of gas and on bad bumps the wheels rub. I measured the front 4 bolt Lemmers and the back spacing is 4.5\"...thats like a zero offset. I attached an jpg of the left front. The right front sticks out a little more (someone must have sneezed when they molded the body to the frame...its crooked...like some other BECK's)
Glad I was offered the opportunity to take typing in highschool (I am an old guy...before computers)

Heiko,
I know the CB disc brake kit does have some offset to them, this is why you will need to cut and move the centers out.I can sell you a new set of front wheels with the centers moved how much do you need moved? You can call the shop(714)538-6550 or email me to discuss the price and shipping cost and time. Also I do not recommend drop spindles on a Speedster or a spyder The front of the car is too light too have all the torsion bars in the stock location.I will go into detail if needed.

Thanks Greg for your quick response. I need to get the same offset as the original Lemmers four bolt wheel (backspacing 4.5\") or close to that. I did find someone close to me that cuts the welds on a lathe and moves the center in or out. I will give the re-welded rims a try and drive the spyder with the dropped front spindles, before tearing everything apart and changing to the So-Cal kit with non-dropped spindles. If all else fails I will be calling you with my VISA card number.
Thanks again.

what do you guys mean by \"offset\"?

Offset is the amount the inside of the rim that gets bolted to the rotor is from the back of the rim. You can place a straight edge across the back of the rim and measure down to the center mount and that's the offset. So if you need to push the tire farther out you need a more shallow offset.
